Towing Capacity Directory

Towing capacity, by exact configuration

Manufacturer ratings for every cab, engine, and drivetrain combination — not one headline number per model.

A model name doesn't have one towing capacity. The same truck can be rated anywhere from 3,500 lb to 7,500 lb depending on engine, cab, drivetrain, and tow package. This directory publishes the manufacturer's own rating for each configuration, with the source cited.

Why one number is wrong

Tow ratings are set per configuration: engine, axle, cab, bed, drivetrain, and factory tow equipment all change the number, and manufacturers publish them that way in their towing guides. Sites that print a single figure for a model are printing the maximum and letting you assume it applies to your truck. The tables here keep every configuration separate, exactly as the manufacturers publish them.
